Campus Resources

Please consider dressing in layers as Michigan League rooms vary in temperature.

The Campus-Wide New Faculty Orientation, sponsored by the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT), is designed to help new faculty members prepare for their first year at the University of Michigan. It provides new faculty an overview of what it's like to work at the university by learning from the U-M leaders, participating in a teaching workshop offered by CRLT, connect with some of the organizations around campus, and engaging in intellectual and inspiring conversations with their colleagues.

The LSA New Lecturer Orientation, sponsored by the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts and the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT), is designed to help lecturers new to U-M learn about relevant LSA policies and resources that can support them in their teaching, learn more about setting up their course Canvas sites, and talk with experienced LSA lecturers about U-M culture and resources. The program will conclude with a short reception as an opportunity for new lecturers to meet some of their departmental colleagues.
