Clients engage the Players because they believe that our unique approach to working with individuals in higher education will allow us to have a positive impact on the faculty, graduate students, or administrators in their department, college, institution, or organization. As the performing arts arm of a teaching center that recognizes the value of ongoing program evaluation, the Players encourage clients to evaluate the impact of sessions we offer.
We make a standard evaluation form available to all clients (a .doc version is available at the bottom of this page). This short survey was designed to collect both quantitative and qualitative data from participants immediately post-event. Clients may use this evaluation form in its entirety, adapt it to meet their needs, or use an evaluation of their own design.
We recommend that whatever evaluation you choose to use that it be administered during the final minutes of the session in which the Players perform. Administering surveys at this time will often result in a significantly higher response rate than sending out an online survey in the days following your event. If it is standard practice in your organization to use online evaluations, though, it may be better to continue this practice.
If you choose to administer an evaluation to participants at the close of one of our sessions, we will be happy to collect these and compile a report of participants’ responses for you. If you prefer to generate your own report, we do ask that you share a digital copy with us for our records.
