What are the purposes of class discussion in your courses? What do you (or can you) use discussions to help students learn? How do you communicate to students your expectations around their participation in discussion, and how do you fairly assess this dimension of their learning? In this interactive workshop participants will reflect upon their use of class discussion and apply principles of transparency to improve equity and inclusion in their practice.
