What's at Stake: Instructor Identities in the R&E Classroom (focus on white instructors)

This workshop will examine the intersections and dynamics of instructor identities in classrooms that critically engage issues of race, ethnicity, and inequity. With a particular focus on the experiences of white identified faculty and GSIs, workshop participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their own teaching experiences, identify common challenges and opportunities for white instructors in R&E classrooms, and work collaboratively to brainstorm effective pedagogical strategies.

This workshop is a counterpart to the "What's at Stake" session offered in fall 2018 that focused on instructors of color.
