What does it mean to use social media in the classroom? While social media platforms may provide useful and creative methods for student interaction, they also present a number of challenges and risks that teachers should be aware of. In this workshop, participants will learn about considerations for asking students to use social media, including affordances and constraints, privacy issues, accessibility issues, and students' perceptions of using online spaces that are "personal" for educational purposes.
