Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs) are central to the success of many courses at U-M. In this workshop, we will discuss practices for building effective relationships in a teaching team, drawing on examples currently in use at U-M. We will also share insights and strategies about common challenges that can arise. Participants will be invited to reflect on their own teaching context, ask questions, and exchange ideas with colleagues in the room. This session will be particularly helpful for those who anticipate leading a GSI team soon and/ or those who have never taught with GSIs.
