Sprint Session 3: Building your Learning Community & Creating Collaborative Learning Experiences

In the Fall 2020 Sprint Series, experts from CRLT and CAI will take through the very basics of everything to consider in four sessions. The Fall 2020 Sprint Series is designed specifically for those who are just getting started preparing for fall. We recommend that faculty register for all four sessions in the series.

One frequent concern of faculty is how to connect to students online as well as connecting students to each other online. This workshop will cover ways to create class discussions, group work as well as cultivate social presence in the class.

Presenter(s):

Nicole Tuttle, Center for Research on Learning and Teaching
Evan Straub, Center for Academic Innovation

Topics include:

  • Building an online community of learners
  • Re-thinking & supporting group activities/work
