Making Active Learning Work in Hybrid and Online Courses

Are you looking for ways to increase student engagement in your hybrid or online classroom? In this asynchronous 1-week workshop, participants will learn to translate active learning strategies that they may be familiar with from face-to-face instruction to remote contexts to engage students. Participants will also explore strategies suitable for face-to-face environments,  remote synchronous interactions (e.g.,  Zoom and BlueJeans), as well as for asynchronous interactions (e.g., recorded lectures, discussion forums). Participants will walk away with concrete techniques and activities that can be implemented immediately in their hybrid and online courses. We will also host an optional one-hour synchronous Q&A session for those enrolled in the workshop on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, from 3-4 pm EST.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a self-paced workshop, and we invite instructors to enroll and engage with the workshop content and activities at any time over the 7 day period.
