Suicide Prevention in College Students

In this workshop, we will review strategies to mitigate suicide risk among college students. After looking at national and college student trends, we will present a theoretical framework for suicidal risk (interpersonal theory of suicide) in the context of higher education. We will then discuss how you, as faculty, can help reduce risks using a strategic approach from the JED foundation. Lastly, we will allow time for discussion, so we can help address your specific needs to help support students.
