Blended Course Design: A Faculty Learning Community (Session 1)

If you’ve ever wished for more classroom time to support student learning or looked for ways to support the learning needs of a diverse student population, consider bringing blended learning to your classroom. Blended classrooms integrate online learning activities with traditional face-to-face instruction to expand classroom time and allow students more freedom to choose when learning occurs.

Participants in this faculty learning community will work to transition their course (or part of their course) to a blended format that complements face-to-face learning with online learning activities. We strongly encourage instructors to attend all sessions, as the intent is to complete a course design (or redesign) process over the course of the term.

All sessions will include time to work on your materials.

Please bring a laptop and your drafted course syllabus or module outline.

This faculty learning community consists of four sessions (all on Mondays, from 12pm-1:30pm, with lunch served).
