Even if you have adopted inclusive practices in your own teaching environments, some of your students will likely experience challenges in other arenas that will negatively impact their experience of learning in your courses. What can you do to support students who have encountered biased treatment or microaggressions in other academic arenas? This workshop will use theatre to help instructors deepen their understanding of the ways that campus climate issues can undermine students' ability to to succeed academically. It will ask them to be critically reflective about their own listening practices and help them to develop a personalized toolkit for responding to student concerns in productive ways.
