CRLT Players sessions use theatrical case studies to highlight the ways that people’s experiences in and outcomes of higher education differ significantly. By telling specific stories about the barriers to success different individuals in the academy face, performances make problematic dynamics and broader patterns of disenfranchisement– both contemporary and historical– visible. The facilitated discussions that complement the performances ask participants to consider approaches for disrupting problematic behaviors and increasing equity in various institutional contexts.
The Players company is made of performers, directors, practitioners, musicians, playwrights, and educational developers. We are committed to addressing individual and systems-level challenges that affect the ability for all people to succeed in their working and learning spaces.
