Teaching with Technology Institute (TTI)

Teaching with Technology Institute (TTI)

Overview

The Teaching with Technology Institute helped faculty integrate instructional technology into their teaching, increase their technology skills and comfort, and explore the effective use of technology in support of learning. The Institute provided individual consultations on pedagogy and technology, sustained one-on-one support for faculty grantees during course planning and while the course is being taught, and hands-on technological training. Awards of $2500, to be used at the discretion of recipients, were available. The TTI was a collaborative initiative sponsored by CRLT, the Library, and schools and colleges from across campus. It was administered through CRLT.

The following criteria were used to evaluate the proposals and select program participants:

  • potential impact on student learning,
  • inclusion of sound pedagogy in the plan for using technology in teaching,
  • likelihood that other faculty members could use the technology
  • innovation, and
  • feasibility of implementing the project during the upcoming academic year.
