Active & Engaged Learning in Digital Contexts
The explosion of technological tools in education has widened the range of physical locations where learning happens, even in traditional residential colleges. Digital contexts are now a part of many courses at U-M from classes that use the flipped classroom model to fully online courses to massively open online courses (MOOCs). The goals of this workshop include collaboratively defining active learning, exploring the range of ways to get students interacting with each other and with course content online and best practices for using digital tools to set-up successful face-to-face active learning techniques.
