Creative Uses Of Technology To Assess Students

In this workshop we will explore methods to assess students – both formally and informally – using technology. We will discuss a variety of ways assessments can be developed and used based on our class goals. We will discuss different types of software you could use to poll students to assess their comfort with the material, their familiarity with a topic, or to spark interest in a new area of study. We will also look at how you can use software with anonymous commenting to check for students understanding of topics using multiple-choice and open-ended questions.
