Designing and Facilitating Group Work for Blended/Online Courses

As we move into a blended/online/flex environment, many instructors are thinking about how to structure group work in these new modalities. This interactive synchronous session will help participants consider how to use synchronous and asynchronous approaches to group work, how to design and implement effective group work assignments, and touch on technologies that can facilitate group work as well as build classroom community and keep students socially connected in blended/online courses.  After the formal program, the facilitator will hold informal office hours for an additional 30 minutes for those who would like to continue the conversation.
