Reflecting on and Transferring Lessons Learned from Remote Teaching to the Post-Covid Classroom

Teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic has challenged us to critically reflect on and adapt our pedagogical goals and approaches to meet the demands of remote teaching and learning and to ensure that our students remained engaged and included. But what do we do with these lessons learned and how can we leverage this new knowledge and expertise to a post-Covid classroom?

Through a mix of individual reflection, small-group discussions, and large-group exchanges in this interactive synchronous session, we will distill the lessons we have learned as remote instructors and consider what lessons and approaches are adaptable to the post-Covid classroom, be it in person or hybrid. Participants will come away with an understanding of how to leverage the lessons learned while teaching during the pandemic to enrich their pedagogical toolbox and teaching philosophy.
