Let's Make A Screencast

Screencasting is a method of capturing both audio and visual information from a computer to make a multimedia presentation that can be easily shared, extending your course content and increasing learner engagement. In this asynchronous 2-week workshop, you will learn about the benefits of screencasting, identify the variety of uses for screencasting in academic settings, and explore strategies and tools available for creating screencasts. Participants will have an opportunity for hands-on practice, as they will create a brief screencast on a topic of their choice and submit it for peer feedback. This workshop will be useful for any instructor who wants to explore adding video content to their courses.
