The Nuts and Bolts of Peer Instruction in Your Own Classroom

This workshop, a follow-up to the Eric Mazur events on 2/14/14, will go in-depth into best practices for implementing Peer Instruction into your class.  Peer Instruction is a pedagogy that can be used in any discipline, with or without technology-based personal response systems.  Both low-tech and high-tech versions of Peer Instruction will be reviewed in this workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to practice writing and receive feedback from colleagues on questions they could use for Peer Instruction.  Time in the workshop will also be dedicated to creating a lesson plan for how to use your newly created questions.
