Gameful Pedagogy: Potential Tools to Support Learning

This session is intended for instructors who have decided to use gameful learning pedagogy in their course(s) and have already begun the course design process. Participants will be introduced to a range of potential tools that will enable gameful learning in the classroom. Participants will have the opportunity to try out different tools and decide which tool will best fit their course design.

Although participants are not required to have attended the previous sessions in this Gameful Pedagogy series, this session will build on the prior sessions. Please bring a laptop or other device, as well as your plans for gameful course design. Lunch will be provided.

Please note that this is the third session out of three in a faculty learning community series about gameful learning pedagogy.  By attending the faculty learning community, participants will join a cohort of interested faculty to explore gameful pedagogy (9/29), work through a gameful course planning process (10/13), and determine how to implement the gameful pedagogy (11/3). Participants are encouraged, but not required, to attend all the sessions in the series. A fourth session (11/17) will be dedicated to the use of GradeCraft for those specifically interested in using this tool to implement their gameful pedagogy.
