Activities for Leveraging Student Diversity

This workshop is grounded in research showing that engaging with diverse peers can enhance student learning in the college classroom. How can instructors leverage student diversity--both visible and invisible--in their classes to foster productive peer exchanges that enrich all students' learning experiences? This “Leveraging Student Diversity” workshop gives instructors the opportunity to experience and reflect upon concrete teaching strategies for helping students engage with one another across their differences, as well as for introducing course material in ways that productively draw upon students' various backgrounds and perspectives. This interactive workshop is designed for instructors in a wide range of disciplines.
